The falls cascade 60 km east of Panaji, near the Karnataka border. The final 12 km from Mollem leaves asphalt and turns into a rough laterite track with stream crossings. You need a vehicle with high ground clearance-Toyota Innova Crysta or Suzuki Brezza. Standard hatchbacks will scrape the underbody. Monsoon season closes the track; visit between November and May. The waterfalls stand 310 metres tall, framed by forest on both sides. Allow a full day: two hours each way, two hours at the site.
Drive 28 km south-west to Vasco, Goa's port city. The route follows NH-66 past Dabolim Airport, then branches west. Vasco itself is industrial, but Bogmalo Beach lies 4 km further, tucked into a sheltered cove. The road is smooth asphalt throughout.
